Effective February 15, 2026
Sloww is built to work entirely on your device. Your data stays with you — not because the law requires it, but because that's how it should be.
Sloww uses your location to calculate sunrise, sunset, twilight, and moon times for where you are. Location data is processed entirely on your device (using Apple's Core Location framework). It is never sent to any server.
You can also search for and save other locations. These are stored locally on your device so the app and its widgets can share them. They are not transmitted anywhere.
If you deny location access, Sloww falls back to a default location (Phoenix, AZ) so the clock still works. You can also set your location manually at any time by searching for a city, regardless of whether you've granted location access.
When you search for a city, the search text you type is sent to Apple's servers (via MapKit) to return matching results — this is the only data that leaves your device. Your location coordinates, saved places, and clock settings are never transmitted. These search requests are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy, not Sloww's. Sloww itself does not see or store your search queries beyond the current session.
Sloww contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no ad frameworks, and no third-party tracking code. The app makes no network requests of its own.
Your preferences — which rings are visible, time format, saved locations — are stored locally on your device. This data stays on your device and syncs only if you use iCloud backup, which is managed by Apple. If you delete the app, all locally stored preferences and saved locations are removed with it.
If you use Sloww's Home Screen or Lock Screen widgets, they pull from the same data already stored on your device — your saved location and display preferences. No additional data is collected.
Sloww does not store any personal data on a server, so all data lives on your device and is fully under your control. You can revoke location access, clear saved locations, or delete the app at any time.
If you are in a region with specific privacy rights — such as the EU/UK (GDPR), California (CCPA), or Canada — those rights are inherently satisfied because we hold none of your data. If you have questions about this, contact us and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Sloww does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Since Sloww collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
